| Family owned and operated since 1942, Lakeview Marina was first started as a fishing camp by Louis B. Drozd, Sr. The camp provided guide service, boat and cabin rentals. In the 1950s, his son, Louis B. Drozd, Jr., joined him in the family business. The business has grown into a full service marina with moorage, boat repairs, and sales. The marina is now operated by the third generation of Drozd - Mike, Tom, and Dean. It is now the oldest, continually operating business in Lake Dallas.
Lakeview Marina does more than treat our customers like family. We stay active in the boating and local communities. We hold active membership in the Marina Association of Texas. In 2002, we were the 2nd marina on Lake Lewisville to be certified a clean marina by the Clean Texas Marina Program. We have been a member in the Lake Cities Chamber of Commerce since it's inception in 1974. Lakeview Marina supports the local community by participating as a sponsor in many events.
Expansion seems to be the theme of the Lake Cities area. Lakeview Marina has undergone many changes of growth over the past 60+ years! We hope to continue to expand and change as the next generation of Drozds serve our customers.
